Usage Note 36300: Unable to modify relational data in a pivot table in the SASĀ® Add-In for Microsoft Office
After you open a relational data set into a pivot table using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, you cannot open the Modify Data Source dialog box in order modify your initial column selections or to apply filters.
As a workaround for the inability to add more columns, you can initially select all of the columns that you think you might need. You do not have to include all of your columns in the pivot table, but you can ensure that they are available if you need them.
As a workaround for filters, you can use the Page Filter on the Pivot tables in Excel 2003 or the Report Filter in Excel 2007.
Your only other option is to create a new pivot table and make new column and filter selections.
The SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office 4.2 enables you open the Modify Data Source dialog box to make changes.
